" It is my pleasure to recommend Lomax Construction as a contractor. "
Brad Moore – Elon University
The Elon School of Law was a very challenging project consisting of renovating the old Greensboro Library into a four story school of law with complex finishes and scheduling. Some of the obstacles involved with this project were its downtown location, tight time line, high public visibility, and the inherent difficulty of renovating an old structure. It is my pleasure to recommend Lomax Construction as a contractor that we continually turn to for a contractor with strong integrity, high quality, attention to detail, and efficiency.
" I have gained first-hand knowledge of their professionalism, attention to detail, and quality workmanship. "
Peter Barcus – Hospice & Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell
Having just completed two simultaneous projects with Lomax, including a licensed care facility regulated by the state and a three story office building, I have gained first-hand knowledge of their professionalism, attention to detail, and quality workmanship. I was particularly impressed by the level of detail and accuracy in their correspondence, minute taking, and other documents throughout the construction process. I highly recommend Lomax Construction.
" Lomax continues to be one of our valued partners through the proven results and cooperation on each job."
Jonathan P. Varnell – Guilford College
Lomax has completed two historic renovation projects for Guilford College. We have been pleased with their paperwork and working with the design team as a supportive partner of the LEED certification process. Lomax continues to be one of our valued partners through the proven results and cooperation on each job.
" When complications have arisen on a project, Lomax is quick to react and expects the same from their subcontractors. "
Mark Buckalew – UNC Hospitals
In my capacity at UNC Hospitals, I have worked with Lomax Construction on numerous projects. They have been efficient and a highly professional firm. The majority of the projects have been in and around occupied patient areas and Lomax has complied with our requirements that patient care cannot be affected during the project. In fact, in most instances Lomax has gone above and beyond to insure that our staff is not affected by their work. Lomax’s on-site superintendents are some of the hardest working we have at the hospital. When complications have arisen on a project, Lomax is quick to react and expects the same from their subcontractors. Lomax displays a knack for communication and timely responses, and a complete presence at job sites, which speaks volumes for their ability to maintain and perform in any project area. The integrity that is displayed throughout each project exceeds the expectations of any client When Lomax is the contractor on a project, there is no doubt in my mind that it will be a successful project.
" We made several changes and Lomax helped to make those changes as painless as possible."
Tom Smith – First Baptist Church Greensboro
First Baptist Church are pleased to recommend Lomax Construction as a contractor of choice. I have had the pleasure of working personally with their team on site, as well as, interacting with their management team and found all of them to be professional in all phases of their work. We made several changes and Lomax helped to make those changes as painless as possible. They worked diligently toward meeting deadlines throughout the project.
" I know that they will receive unparalleled service along the way and a great building in the end. "
Bobby W. Patterson – Architectural Design Associates
Lomax Construction is one of those rare contractors that I can recommend to clients without reservation… I know that they will receive unparalleled service along the way and a great building in the end.
We offer fully integrated design and construction services where we align ourselves with one or more of our strategic design partners to provide the client with a turn-key design-build solution. The Design-Build process lets us pick the right designer based on the project type, providing a “one-stop-shop” for the Owner
NEGOTIATED GENERAL CONTRACT
The Negotiated General Contract offers the construction buyer several benefits not inherent to the competitive bidding process. This ensures the buyer is working with their preferred general contractor to help ensure cost-effective design solutions to the client’s needs.
Our approach to Construction Management is very similar to the Negotiated General Contract method outlined above. Lomax fulfills the role of both Construction Manager and General Contractor so there is no duplication of oversight and associated fees.
LUMP SUM BIDDING
Today more than 75% of our work is obtained through means other than competitive bidding. However, with our determination to keep our “hard bid edge,” we continue to seek bidding opportunities and welcome the chance to be on a select bid list for a good client.
